Glenmorangie ‘Signet’
$200.00
Glenmorangie is a famous single malt distillery situated just north of the town of Tain in Ross-shire, in the Highlands region of Scotland.
Glemorangie is one of the best-known Scottish distilleries, despite its confusing pronunciation – it is pronounced with the emphasis on the second syllable, rather than on the first and third. Founded in 1843, Glenmorangie was one of the early leaders in exporting its product, despite the forced closure between 1931 and 1936 due to the effects of Prohibition.

The standard offering is the 10-year-old Original, but there are many expressions available. In fact, Glenmorangie was one of the first distilleries to experiment with different wood finishes for its whisky, where the spirit receives a second period of maturation (a finish) in a different type of barrel. Glenmorangie offer a range of finishes including Sherry, Port, Sauternes and Madeira.
The distillery is owned by the Glenmorangie Company – an arm of luxury goods company LVMH – which also owns the Islay distillery Ardbeg.
